Weather Instruments

Well the Instruments for the GOES satellites I would have to say would be the GOES satellites, but the info I have on the Satellites is minimal because of the lack of information on the internet and other alternate resources. I will tell you as much as I can, to help you have a better understanding on weather satellites.

Satellites being their own instruments in this project, I will just explain what the satellites do and why it is important. Strategically placed in space by shuttles orbiting the Earth or launched in a rocket and placed by computer. Satellites are an importance to help us view the current weather patterns, gathering their energy from the sun. Viewing the clouds in different ways such as infrared and water vapor to help determine the out come of the weather. Each satellite is stationary on a separate location; this is so that different areas of the world came obtain the most accurate readings. While viewing the Earth's surface and transmitting the information back to weather stations all over the globe.
